Ryan Skinner
Title: Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball

Ryan Skinner joined the MCC coaching staff as a volunteer graduate assistant for the 2017-18 season. Coach Skinner comes highly recommended by Head Coach Kelly Love who coached Ryan dating back to middle school. Coach Skinner also played for Coach Love at MCC from 2013-15.

Skinner is a McHenry High School graduate where he was a part of one of the school’s only boys’ basketball IHSA regional title in 2012. At MCC, Coach Skinner excelled both on the court and in the classroom. He was named Student-Athlete of the Year in 2015 and Academic All-Conference his freshman and sophomore years. Skinner played point guard and was named team captain for the Scots for the 2014-15 season. Coach Skinner went on to receive a marketing degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017 where he graduated with high honors.

Coach Skinner has played and coached at multiple levels and been a part of Amateur Athletic Union programs, including local teams such as the Illinois Magic. He has created a strong basketball circle in the McHenry County/Chicagoland area. Coach Skinner hopes that his experience and high basketball IQ can be passed down to his players, pushing them to succeed in the classroom and on the court. He strongly believes that MCC can provide a stepping stone, as well as a foundation, for players to reach the next level in academics and athletics.
