Alex Boshell joins the MCC Scot Coaching staff in 2026 as Women’s and Men’s Tennis Coach. Alex brings vast coaching experience to the MCC tennis program. He is striving to continue the winning ways of the tennis program both on the court and in the classroom.
Coaching Experience
- Tennis Coach | The Racket Club, Crystal Lake Park District (2023–present)
- Coaching private and group lessons for players of all skill levels.
- Junior Tennis Tournament Director and Elite Tennis Coach (2021–2023)
- Directed all aspects of United States Tennis Association (USTA) and in-house junior tournament play.
- High School Boys’ Tennis Director and Varsity Coach | Loyola Academy (2021)
- Oversaw all scheduling, staff hiring, and supervision; coached the Varsity team to a League Championship.
- High School Girls’ Varsity and Boys’ Junior Varsity Platform Tennis Coach | North Shore Country Day School (2019–2021)
- Athletic Director, PE Teacher, and Sports League Board President | Chicago Waldorf School (2015–2018)
- Created curriculum and taught all aspects of Physical Education classes. Created, organized, and facilitated high school sports conference bylaws and membership.

Alex has enjoyed working over the years with beginners all the way up to former world Top 20 player Dimitri Tursunov. Nothing pleases him more than helping others reach their pinnacles. He will continue to share his passion for the game with the MCC tennis program student-athletes.
